Public transport in many cities in the US is not very reliable, efficient or well connected, though all major cities have some sort of public transport. Many city transport in USA is limited & consists of local buses or trains.

These are not the most convenient modes of travel unless you are within the city. Its advisable to get your own car as soon as possible.
