You are allowed to import one litre of wine or alcohol (min. age 21); 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars or 2 kg of tobacco (min. age 18) and presents not exceeding $ 100.

If the contents of your baggage are within the limits specified on the Customs form, go through the Green Channel. An official who may or may not examine your baggage will take the Customs form.

Dont carry food items that are liable to be confiscated. One can carry chocolates into the USA as long as they do not contain alcohol.

At the customs clearance they may ask you to open your bags for verification.

Some rules to follow for easy clearance at Customs. Do not: Bring articles derived from protected species: ivory, reptile skin, furs

Bring without license: radio transmitters, cordless telephones

Agree to take luggage or parcels for other people to the US unless you are sure about the contents

After this you either exit the airport or board a domestic flight to reach your final destination.
